Bob Harper Totally Ripped Core Details and Review

Totally Ripped Core , with a total running time of seventy minutes, is a non-stop, targeted core cardio workout. Led by Bob Harper , the workout is designed to rev up your metabolism, burn calories all while sculpting your core. Totally Ripped Core, consists of two workouts, Totally Ripped Core , a fifty minute core workout and, Ripped Core Quick Bonus , a quick and efficient core workout for when you are short on time. Bob is joined in the workout by four background exercisers. A modifier is present in the workout to demonstrate easier modifications to the exercises as well as the non-weighted versions. While Bob takes on the role of coach and trainer in this workout, stopping occasionally to explain form or encourage the exercisers, he is also an active participant in the workout. The only equipment needed for the workout is a set of dumbbells and a mat depending on your workout surface. From the main menu you have the option to select either of the individual workouts; there is not a play all option. The workout is nicely chaptered so you can skip through various exercises.

Totally Ripped Core begins with a basic warm-up with some light stretching. The workout then moves into a series of functional strength training exercises that target the entire body while isolating the core. Each set of exercises is performed one time through. Then on the second time through additional balance challenges and intensifiers are added to the exercises. The workout concludes with a cool-down and stretch. The additional ten minute workout, which actually runs about eleven minutes, is a condensed routine that uses challenging exercises to fully engage the body and target the core in a short amount of time.

Totally Ripped Core is a total body, strength, core and cardio circuit workout. The workout efficiently and effectively uses functional, compound strength training exercises that effectively target the core, induce a cardio effect and target the entire body with the use of dumbbells. Bob Harper does a very good job with instruction, detailing out the exercises, giving form pointers and stressing the importance of proper technique and form. While he encourages the exerciser to push, he also stresses the importance of listening to your body and taking breaks when needed.
